MaineCare Member Handbook
Do you need more information about the MaineCare program? Check out the
MaineCare Member Handbook.
It explains the basics of the MaineCare program. It is not a legal policy or
contract. The information in this handbook may change. Be sure to check it often
When you qualify for MaineCare, you get a plastic MaineCare card. Only you can
use your card. It is against the law to let anyone else use it. Always carry
your card with you. If you do not have it with you, your provider may choose not to
see you. Keep your MaineCare card even if you no longer qualify because you may
qualify for MaineCare in the future. If you need a new card, go to
MyMaineConnection to request one or contact an eligibility
specialist at your
local DHHS office.
